Hello! My name is Deidra Reid Brewer and I am the Library Media Specialist at Highland Park and Webster Elementary.

Education: 

University of North Alabama, BS in Education, 2001

University of Alabama, Master’s in Library and Information Studies (MLIS), 2004

University of West Alabama, Educational Specialist (EdS) in Library Media, 2019

National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT) in Library Media  

I served on the Library School Advisory Board at the University of Alabama for 12 years.  Also, I have served as an Alabama School Library Association (ASLA) Board member.

This year marks my seventeenth year in education as a Library Media Specialist.  I am proud to say all seventeen years have been with Muscle Shoals City at Highland Park and Webster.  I am blessed to have a job that I LOVE and to be a part of the Muscle Shoals faMily.  

I am married to Chad Brewer.  We have two children, Brooklyn and Blayden.  Brooklyn attends MSHS and plays varsity volleyball.  Blayden attends Mcbride Elementary and loves all sports.
